The Agencies Never Learned Strategy Either.
You’ve probably already paid one of them. Or watched an owner you know pay one, go quiet about it, and never mention marketing again.
We started this company because we are disgusted with the condition of marketing in this industry.
Most agencies selling to accounting firms learned how ads work. That is not the same thing as learning marketing strategy.
Going to one of those guys expecting them to be your strategist is like going to a painter or a plumber and expecting them to blueprint your dream home. The painter and the plumber are no architects — and neither is the average Facebook-ads guy a marketing strategist.
Their goal is to turn your dollars into names, phone numbers and email addresses. A contact who never books, never shows or never buys costs exactly what a good one costs. Which is why most of their clients never make it to a second month.
The agencies that sell hardest to people who are just getting started — the ones with the least budget to lose — are the ones we have watched deliver the worst outcomes.
The worst of them take a few lucky wins, turn them into testimonials, and sell a dream that isn’t happening for most of the people paying for it. Do that to a profession long enough and you get what accounting has now: firms telling each other that marketing is a waste of time.
